Salzburg - Austria
Went to Neuschwanstein Castle and then off to Austria, but we only got to see a little bit of it. It is Mozart's home I believe.

Switzerland
So today we went to one of the places where In Her Majesties Secret Service was filmed. It was all the way up in Lauterbrunnen one of the Swiss Alps and we had a great time ordering food in a restaurant that rotated while you ate and we could see the clouds.

Bern and Interlaken
So we went to bern today and also took the longest alpine slide that was a lot of fun except for the hilarious episode I had with calling some German boys cute and thinking they didn't understand English. Yeah, I'm pretty sure they understood English all right. Anyhow, we also saw an outdoor play that was about Wilhelm Tell and I think I may have fallen asleep.

Heidelburg
So we went to this castle on a hill with a major incline and the castle had a big old keg which claimed to be the biggest in the world. The Germans must love their beer. But we also unfortunately lost Janna but then she was found again.

Germany day 1
So we went from Minneapolis to the flight to Frankfurt and it was a pretty long flight but everyone seems to be excited. It unfortunately rained when we got there and we had a boat ride and met some really great scottish people who were making keychains. They accents were awesome.
We actually departed for Germany on Monday June 13, I had to get up at 4:30 a.m. to get to our high school parking lot since we were departing at 6 am to head to twin cities on a bus. We got there and left for our connection flight to Detroit at 1:15. Detroit to Frankfurt is around a 7 hours flight. I read a legend of 5 rings book and watched the in flight movie of the Wedding Date and the Pacifier. When we arrived in Germany, I bought two manga books, one of them a gift for Amanda. I was pretty excited that they had Manga in german. Then we waited 3 hours for the Michigan group because a luggage cart and ran into their plane as it turns out.
I really liked the Wedding Date
The Pacifier was really funny too
Our first destination was the charming village of Rudesheim where we went on a cruise ship and went down to St. Goarshausen.
Here's the map of the river:
We started from Rudesheim, which is a pretty little town with narrow alleys:
We saw the Lorelei rock, clock tower and watch tower from our cruise.
This is the Lorelei rock because a lot of boats sink due to careless sailors.
This is a typical view you would get from a cruise on the Rhine.
On the riverboat cruise I met Elih, Rudih, Holly and Fergins from Scotland, it was so much fun. I also met people from Taiwan and St. Louis, so people from all over the world.
The Castles were beautiful even though we didn't get to go to Marksburg, one of Germany best preserved medieval castles but it was still fun.
We ate curry at our youth hostel and I shared a room with Madlyn, Emma, Erika, Shannon, Tiffany, Janna, Laura and Susan. It was a blast even though the showers were cold. We had a gorgeous view from our hostel.
